What You Need to Know

1. Qualifications & Classifications
Each personal childcare teacher brings a unique background, filled with various experiences and philosophies. Typical TeacherCaregivers hold early childhood, psychology or related child development degrees, AND have years of hands-on experience with young children. These hands-on experiences includes: social services, daycare, long-term babysitting, Montessori, classroom, nanny work, long-term volunteer work, and center-based experiences.

2. Salary & Benefits
TeacherCare salaries and benefits vary from city to city and are based upon various factors, including longevity of background and experience, education, number of hours for the position, number of children, etc. Average starting salaries range between $31,200 and $46,800. Benefits, including health insurance, are available. Part-time salaries range from $15 to $20 per hour. Contact us for more specific information.

3. TeacherCaregiver Responsibilities
TeachersCaregivers enrich children while nurturing the children's daily needs. They integrate a parent's goals and priorities into comforting, daily routines.
